Summer in the city. Fun at the swimming pools. Shot with the compact Minolta AF-E and some expired Agfa Optima Prestige.
You won’t believe how hot Berlin can become in the summertime. There are some swimming pools in the city to freshen up. But the one in the former east in Pankow is screaming »Bonjour tristesse« Shot with the compact camera Minolte AF-E and an expired Agfa Optima Prestige.
Summer in Berlin. Me and my family go to the swimming pool in Pankow – it’s some sort of morbide tristesse. Shot with Minolta AF-E and Expired Agfa Optima. Click the picture for more photographs.
Sometimes names and pics go so well together as in this case. The sunflowers bathed in the sun and i needed no more to press the shutter.
Sometimes it’s just about the colors.
A woman and her dog. I stood one or two minutes and looked mysels but couldn’t see what they were seeing. Did they? I loved the picture of love and friendship they gave me.
An eraser snuggling in the pavement. No more no less.
I love the mafia film genre. And almost everytime i see some (especially elder) people sitting or standing in the streets i fantasize about some really hard mafia stuff going on. And why shouldn’t it be as i see it?
I saw the red lady at the flea market at Arkona Platz in Prenzlauer Berg. I hoped for good colors and contrast with the expired Kodak Portra 160 VC i used. And i got them.
Some pics are not about people. Sometimes the colors alone make me push the shutter release. The Fujifilm XT-2 renders colors great.
The entrance to one of those strange night clubs around the corner. At daylight there is no way someone would ring the bell (so i think). Shot with Minolta XD-5 and an expired Kodak Portra 160 VC.
I’m passing this hairdresser and suddenly i feel the looks of two dogs. I raise my camera and get a pretty good exposure thanks to my Minolta X-5. It was loaded with some good old expired Kodak Portra 160 pulled to ISO 80.
Some sort of experiment. Normally i do not tend to overprocess my digital pics. Some extra grain, colors that resemble real film. In this case i fiddled with lightroom. I think the mood is now the right »Tristesse«
My two boys in the U-Bahn. Shot with Ektar 100 and my trusty Minolta.
Kodak Ektar 100 – great colours, good price, classy film. Shot with my trusty Minolta XD-7 (XD-11) at Gleisdreieck in Berlin
A white print of a bull on a curtain. Shot with a Minolta XD-7 and Kodak Ektar 100.
A young woman giving out a red popsicle to a customer. Shot with Minolta XD-7 and Kodak Ektar 100. This is a perfect example for the great results Ektar can give. Even the skin tones are great!
S- and U-Bahnhof Gesundbrunnen. Everything is red (sort of). Shot with the Fujifilm XT-1 and the 18mm f2.
